Welcome to Essex Tie Dye

We are a very small family business that loves Tie Dye.

We have always been interested in Tie Dye and used to buy the readymade kits from craft shops but found they just didn’t last, were not vibrant enough and were very expensive.

A number of years ago we started gifting our home made baby clothing to family and friends and continued to get requests for more designs and colours. We took a leap of faith and decided to try and sell some of our Adidas socks and baby clothing on Etsy.

We were amazed to find there was a huge demand and very soon we were sold out - an Australian chap decided to buy our entire sock collection!
We started increasing production of our items adding new designs to keep up with requests. We even had our Australian friend return a number of times and again purchase our entire new sock collections!

We expanded our baby clothing range and started moving onto T-shirts and from there, hats, hoodies, children’s T-shirts and many more.
There never seems to be an end in sight as we are constantly coming up with new designs faster than we can make them. We literally have a few thousand ideas pending in the to do list.

We love Tie Dye as we have mentioned and think it brings some much needed colour into the world. Next time you pop out pay attention to what everyone wears and you will see how dull and plain clothing really is!

We feel so privileged to do something we love and bring colour into people lives.
To be honest we never thought anyone one would buy anything we made and we still can't believe how our hard work has paid off in expanding our love of Tie Dye.
